Sculptures

The increasing scarcity of olive wood in nature, mainly due to its very slow growth, gives it an added value. The few remaining craftsmen who work this wood commonly say: “I wonder if I’ll ever find such a big block again?”. Every sculpture has its own unique grain, small imperfections and dimensions. This is especially true for the handcrafted pieces, where it is the sculptor’s inspiration and experience that characterise the pieces. Indeed, some of the articles on this site are still made using the ancient method of the wooden mallet and chisel.
