Each notebook is slightly different from the others due to the tanning process. Since the tanning agents are vegetable-based and not synthetic, they differ slightly after processing. For this reason, small imperfections in the leather should not be considered defects, but rather a sign of the product's authenticity.
The "sublimation" technique is achieved using pressure, temperature, and steam, which push the pigments into the surface layer of the leather. Essentially, it could be described as a permanent tattoo. This is also why there is no perceptible thickness between the sublimated part and the leather part.
As a closure system for our notebooks, we have adopted the "lace" solution, which gives them a bygone era appearance. The olive wood bead ensures its durability even with intensive use. On the back cover, you will find a brief note on the life of Saint Clare.
Important note
Once all the sheets have been used, the paper block can be completely replaced with a virgin one by visiting any print shop, thus allowing you to reuse the same genuine leather cover.
Genuine calf leather is a natural material obtained from the hide of young cattle (calves), selected for its high quality, fine grain, and softness to the touch. When tanned by hand and without synthetic treatments, calf leather retains all its authentic beauty, making it ideal for high-end and low environmental impact products.
