Each Bible cover is slightly different from the others due to the hides which, being vegetable and not synthetic, differ slightly at the end of their processing. For this reason, small imperfections in the leather should not be understood as defects, but as a sign of the product's authenticity. The engraving technique we have adopted to "imprint" the symbol on the cover is called "dry", meaning an ancient marking method that consists of compressing the leather with a red-hot stamp, thus creating a permanent relief engraving.
For the closure system of our Bible covers, we have chosen a button solution.
Genuine calf leather is a natural material obtained from the hides of young cattle (calves), selected for its high quality, fine grain, and softness to the touch. It differs from other leathers due to its compact yet flexible structure, which makes it particularly suitable for valuable craftsmanship, such as leather goods, bookbinding, footwear, or religious accessories.
When crafted by hand and without synthetic treatments, calf leather retains all its authentic beauty, making it ideal for high-end and low-environmental-impact products.
